I've really been enjoying trail runners this spring/summer. Right now my pack only weights 35 lbs but will soon enough be 45-50 lbs.

Anyway, my feet feel great! Anyone use trail runners into late summer and early fall and "OK" with them and packs that hit 100+ pounds on the way out versus tradition type hiking boots?

I hear ya, but man my feet feel good right now. Not looking forward to putting a boot on.

I hear ya again. But I know a guy that hits the high country with the same enthusiasm as the (RIP) Crocodile Hunter. Pretty funny shitt I've even seen him in 2 inches of snow wearing the same Chuck Taylor Converse he wears all spring , summer, early fall. Personally I think he's nuts but it is what it is. The man puts on miles and kills stuff. But your prolly right I might just be asking for trouble.

i've packed dall sheep, grizzly bears, and caribou out in Salmon shoes....my feet aren't exactly thrilled about it, but not that bad either....goat hunting and dall sheep hunting generally I leave to solid boots. But if sketch mountain terrain isn't expected to be part of the endeavor I really like the trail runners.
