Two years ago I used Spypoint cams. Nothing but problems. Last year I didn't use cams. I'd like to go back to using them so what is everyone using? Looking for unlimited pics. I don't live close to where I hunt so I would prefer cams that are decent on batteries. I realize it depends on how often pics are sent. Maybe a solar solution?

I have a roster of various Tactacams. I have had essentially very few issues with them. The picture quality is very good. I use the solar panels and if you place them well, you’ll never run out of battery. However they are expensive as the cameras themselves run around 120 and then a lithium battery and solar panel run another 100 per set. Then you have the monthly costs for the cellular service

Thank you. I'd rather buy quality gear and have a good experience than buy substandard gear and have a lousy experience and have to buy again. That is expensive.

Honestly, I started out with a dozen cheap Amazon cameras. Don’t even remember the name. Me and a couple friends started out in this new unit and decided to basically plaster it with cameras. We all bought the same ones and they just simply worked. We used them for a couple seasons and then I decided I needed expensive cameras so I gave them mine and spent three times as much on new ones. They were no better. Maybe a couple cool features but the photos and video were on par.

Several years later and we all have the same cameras. Me with overpriced and them with the originals. Except a handful that were stolen, which pissed me off more than it did them.

If not running cellular, I do not see the need to get “the best” as at least for me, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

Wiseeye and nothing comes close to them. Especially now that the ranch plan is available on all cameras and quantities

Some of the older spypoint camears were terrible. I've had great luck with the LM2's. Not even sure if they make them any longer. But I've got a few out right now and they do a good job.
