I wish there was a website where you could send a link and they would turn a thread into a book for you. This is gold. Ive been reading hunting forums for 20+ years and Ive never seen someone cry so much about their hunt. The title of the book could be a snippet from his other thread on his hunt:
“I drove a 1,000 miles in a week road hunting and still feel like if there was just a few more miles of road open I could have shot (at) an elk”

I've always been curious about that. The old wilderness boundary signs (maybe new ones too, but the ones I've seen are old and grown into trees)...........of all the activities to specifically list to prohibit, why hang gliding????Pretty sure regular bicycles are banned in wilderness areas too. No motorized or mechanized travel methods.
Also specifically restricts hang gliders. Which is a bummer. Would be a sick way to pack a buck or bull out.
Probably why I've been divorced so many times?
I just saw some of the other threads, its clear the entitlement doesnt stop with wanting to ruin more wild places with OHVs because he doesn't have horses..

With the amount of open roads in that area, you want MORE open roads? Did you know that the elk in that zone are pretty accustom to vehicles and will let you drive right past them while bedded in small pockets of timber? I worked in that are for 8 years and saw tons of big bull killed less than 400 yards from the roads for guys who got out and walked timber pockets near the main roads. I wish they would close more roads. I like it when you've got to walk for a mile or 2 or more through open barren land with nothing to see before you get to the cover. Keeps weak minded people out of the good areas. In fairness, a few of you seem like you lick their boots.
You're 69 yr old Dad shot a bull at 20k ft? That's impressive! I apologize for ever daring to have an opinion in your presence.
