Congrats everyone on some fine animals! I shot this guy on Thanksgiving morning with my Toelke Whip and he fell within sight. Surewood shaft tipped with VPA 3 blade, and this is my first year making my own arrows.

Got my first deer with a recurve. I had just sat down on a fallen tree for a sip of coffee.
He was hot on the tail of a doe and she circled back and brought him to 20yds.
1.93 mile pack out, I'm doing 2 trips next time. Mad respect for you western guys that do this in the mountains. It was by no means flat, but it wasn't like out west.

Just got him this morning. First buck with my longbow. 30 yards quartering away, centered a rib which I went right thru but deflected up and took out the top of the lung and lodged in the spine. Deer fell dead without taking a step. 60 lb Stalker Coyote

Congrats on your 1st buck with your longbow! How are you liking the Black Eagle Vintage arrows? I am thinking of getting some for my Stalker Coyote. What is your setup?

I’ve been on a roll with the satori. Had this Idaho buck chase does past me at 25 yards and sealed the deal. First year hunting traditional has me hooked.

I shot the BB on Nov 5, to replenish the freezer.
On Nov 18, I shot an 8 point, 167# buck at 7 yards.
I use a Bob Lee Hunter Signature 45# bow, GT Trad 35/55 arrows and a Snuffer broadhead.

Late to it but shot this doe opening morning of gun season here in Indiana. Shot her from the ground at 10 yards tucked behind a Cherry tree in some vines. Quartering away but hit back of one lung and centered the other. 70” Osage selfbow, [email protected]”, Doug Fir tapered shafts with Cutthroats.

Congrats i like my satori as well. Way more accurate than a custom bow I had made for myself.
The satori just seems to send arrows to where you are looking
