Trade in for a Tundra…

I "HAD" a 2024 tundra v6 turbo. Horrible gas mileage 17mpg.
Went back to silverado v819+ mpg
Most of my driving is local highway 55mph . This is setting cruise control and riding
You couldn't give me a Toyota

I can set the cruise on 75 on my '24 Tundra and get 20mpg easily. Set it on 55 and it'll hit 23 no problem. I'm not a Toyota homer either, as I've owned multiples of each make except 1 Ram......won't make that mistake again.

Sounds like you want to trade mainly to get a smaller pickup than your F250. If that’s the case, going down to the 5.7 Tundra would be a good move.

If you will be pulling anything on the heavier side, I would suggest looking for a 2018 or older as they still have a transmission cooler. You could also put an aftermarket cooler on one if it doesn’t have one.

As to trading straight across for like mileage…if what you said in your post is true, you aren’t looking to trade to get something better, you are wanting something smaller. Trading across for like mileage achieves your purpose.

To all the complaining about gas mileage. Toyota pickups have never gotten good mileage. That’s been known for years. Anyone that buys a Tundra or Tacoma and complains about mileage didn’t look into them much beforehand. I get 18-19 on the highway turning 33s in my Tacoma. I was pleasantly surprised at that.

I've got a Toyota and 2 Fords in the driveway. A 5.0 or 6.2 V8 will give anything from Toyota a run for its money in the longevity department, that's a fact.

Late 90s to early 2000s is where Toyota had no equal, the stuff they make today has the same issues as everyone else.

18-19 sounds pretty good.
I get 15-16 in town. I drive like a “grandpa” though. I don’t feel the need to be the first one to the next red light.

My 01 Tundra I only got 11-12 in town and 15-16 in the highway. It was turning 33s as well.

This was on the way back from AZ when I bought it. Phoenix to Northern Utah via Flagstaff. Average speed around 75 with winding roads and a few pulls over small mountain passes.

Thats one of those old lady gossip tv shows isnt it? Figures you're watching stuff like that :ROFLMAO:
Figures you don't know who Scott Jennings is...He destroys widely-held beliefs with facts and then the gullible believers go right back to repeating what they desperately want to believe.
You should stick to your echo chamber where it's safe to glaze Toyotas.
Facts are threatening.....

Good for him. I live under a rock, so no I have no idea who that is.

I've had good luck with toyotas. They are far from flawless, but have done me well. I am by no means a fanboy for them. My thoughts on ford 5.0's and the shitbox they put them in would get me banned on this forum...
