Tract Toric 2.5-15 Eagleman

Setting aside all other metrics- track record, durability, etc- based on reticle alone, I’d go Maven every time. Tract has some great products for the money, but their riflescope reticles are just not good. Who seriously thinks you need 8 Mils of wind on a hunting scope?

Feature wise, there’s a lot to like about that Tract. I can’t remember if one finally got tested here or not. I remember some drama from their marketing guy, but don’t recall the details.

I think they tested the 3-15 Toric in the drop test and it didn't pass. Not sure if the 2.5-15 is the same internals.

Not in love with the Eagleman reticles, but if they offer something that winds my clock I'd have no trouble giving a LOW built Tract a try.

He does great content, but someone needs to love him enough to tell him the truth about the hair.

I don't have that exact scope but I do have the 2.5-15x44 hunt series tract and it is my favorite scope. It tracks well, the locking turret is ideal for what I need. The customer service i have received from Tract has been nothing short of stellar.

He's from a different era in the military boys, cut him some slack. Bottom line is he can outshoot nearly everyone on this forum and it probably wouldn't even be close.

No doubt. Hence why I also trust his opinion on this scope.

How is the clarity? Quite happy with my Leupold VX6 but a bit concerned about the repeatability while dialing.

I have the VX5 2-10x42 and can tell no perceivable difference in low light. They are very close in daylight but I prefer the tract and that may just have to do with the adjustable parallax. I think you will be very happy with the glass if you like the Leupold. Not sure if he still does it but when I bought my first tract John told me that if I didn't like it to send it back, it made pulling the trigger sight unseen on a 1300 rifle scope a little less worrying.

Depends on what you want out of a scope. You know that. They excel at everything, but the RS drop test, it would seem. With that sample of one. I had a couple of the 2-10 Toric's for a bit, both the t-plex and the bdc. Never dropped them or beat on them. They were smooth as anything I've tried and adjusted perfectly. I sold them to play with other things. On a side note, I did drop a Burris Droptine 3-9 last month, just once, but from shoulder height on its top turret. On a 1/2" soft case opened flat, on hard packed dirt. It bounced at least 6" when I dropped it. Shifted the 3 shot group an inch down, but it was still a 3/4" group, Winchester XPR .350 Legend. Dialed it back in, another 3 shot 3/4"" group. I can live with that out of a $120 scope on a $400 rifle shooting inside of 250 yds.
