Just a note on my recent experience with Tract Optics customer service. I thought my Toric scope was not tracking properly so I removed it to send back to Tract for repairs. On removing the scope I saw that the rings had pinched it pretty severly. I had used an inch/pound torque wrench set for 18 inch pounds but it obviously was not calibrated properly.
After a rodeo with the USPS Tract received the scope. On receiving the scope Jon LaConte informed me of the ring issue but said he would test it the following day. The next day he sent me a target indicating that the scope was still operable And that they would send me a new one. I replied that I didn't expect that as I had caused the problems in the first place.
His reply was that Tract Optics believes in taking care of their customers and a new scope would be in the mail the following day. Also, I had sent numerous emails discussing the problem and asking for a recommendation for a new torque wrench. In every case he responded immediately.
I am more than satisfied with their customer service and warranty. I was already very happy with the scope and following my interaction with Jon, I won't hesitate to recommend their scopes and service in the future.
