Track and scat identification thread.

I searched and couldn't find one but thought it might be a good idea.

I followed these track on a trail I was walking yesterday and have never seen anything like them. Anyone know what they are? This is north west WY.

looks like a rabbit to me.
That's what I I initially thought, but that track is huge. Maybe a snowshoe hare or a jack rabbit? I've been hunting cotton tails my whole life and never seen anything like that. They look like a rabbit tracks but I've never seen the back of the track together like that.

Now you know you are looking at all four feet correct ?
Yes the 2 fronts and the back two feet are touching I guess on a hare? I'm used to cotton tails which is a similar track but you can see all 4 feet clearly distinguished.

These prints are also huge compared to a cottontail. I've never seen a snowshoe hare. I know they are much larger then cotton tails I just wasn't expecting to this degree.
