Torn on optic choices for a new rifle

Correct. For now anyways, maybe for always. You’re going to end up down every scope rabbit hole on Rokslide here soon lol. Read up on MOA vs MILS. That THLR reticle takes advantage of the efficiency of mrad based systems. Especially in dial for elevation, hold for wind scenarios (read long range shooting) it’s got some significant advantages.

You're killing me smalls

The zero tech doesn't look to be available in MOA?

I think if you want something similar ish in MOA and also like high magnification the revic is your huckleberry. I can't recall for sure but I thought some revics have passed drop tests.

That's because moa is for guys who think they need 50mm objectives and 30x magnification.
Wow. I am glad you brought your A game to the table. I guess us MOA guys with 50mm objectives just might as well stay home because we can't hit anything with those scopes.

When your mom brings your dinner downstairs to you and ask you to take the garbage out do you put pants on or stay in your pajama's.

Depends on who you’re listening to. Ryan has been 100% adamant they aren’t. Who knows at this point. Probably going to end up depending on who has controlling interest in a contract.

Not that simple, ZT also has a say. To say there will never be an MOA scope is untrue. But it's not our focus at the moment. The Maven 1.2 and the Revic Acura would be the two I would look at in MOA. Both have good reticle options.

Pretty solid burn there!

I see you took that personally. It was a joke. Relax.

I finally looked into the Revic, looks very nice but a little chunky. Looks like they have a 3-18x44 coming in March, I cant really find any info on it at all. I'm curious to see what the weight is. Briefly looked into the Mavens, will investigate further. I'm liking the 3-18 tenmile as well. The reticle doesn't bother me much, it looks similar to what I'm used to on my Razor LHT

I’d wait for next months pre order of the S2H and grab one of those.

While you’re waiting for one to arrive, I’d get a good deal on an RS1.2 or SWFA 3-9 that are about to be flooding the classifieds.

How much time have you spent behind this new scope?

I sold my NF and now use the Tenmile HX 5x25, and it isn't going anywhere.
I sold my nightforce and bought a Credo 3-9x40. Can't see me changing anytime soon. I love dialing and all but for hunting the simple reticle and clear glass is great. I kind of went full circle.

Took a drive to my closest NF dealer yesterday to see an NX8 2.5-20 in person. I can definitely agree that the eyebox was finicky at higher magnification, although I was holding it in hand and it wasn't on a rifle. Also, the moar reticle was very thin at low magnification, below 6x was tricky to see when looking at woods. I don't mind the push button illumination but I think trijicons dial is superior, especially when it comes to brightness selection and on/off. I really liked the feeling of the controls on the scope, magnifier was tight but not too tight like some that want to move the whole gun when rotating. I'm fairly certain I won't be going with an NX8 for this rifle.
