TMK equivalent for muzzle loader

I’ve been using Bloodline bullets. They have been very effective terminally for short to medium/long range. 200 yards. My issue is they are not designed for longer range/ slower velocity. Being allowed to use scopes in WA now, I’ve been trying to find an equivalent to the TMK for muzzleloader. Any suggestions for a good killing bullet with higher bc?

Of what I’ve seen, the Hornady ELD-X.

Parker makes a fantastic cup/core bullet. I really like the 300 and 327 gr Black Max.

Arrowhead XLD. They have a massive meplat under the tip and a very thin jacket. The ones I've shot have upset very quickly and left massive wound channels.
This. These bullets behave much like a TMK. I’ve shot a big bull and multiple mule deer have been killed with this bullet between my sons and me. All very quick deaths and very destructive wound channels.

With a single data point these worked excellent for me. Bang flop. 45 cal.

I’m using the Muzzle-loaders.com .45 brake on my MRX. Tames the recoil and it’s still easy to load using the Cedar Mountain speed loader. So far the ELD-X bullets are shooting best for me but a bit light on the resistance when loading.

Speaking of the Cedar Mountain speed loaders - they make loading and quick follow-up shots so much faster and easier. Well worth the money to have one in your kit

I also have that muzzle brake. I thought SRS actually makes them for M-L.com, could be wrong. I really like it. Works great with Thor and the eldx bullets. Unfortunately not rated for sabots.

Those speed loaders look slick. Way better than carrying a separate funnel. I dropped my funnel from a tree stand a few years back and lost it. Next one got painted orange, a hole drilled in the top, and a tether looped through it. Haven’t lost it since but those speed loaders are going to make it obsolete

I shot a desert muley with a September neck right below the white patch with these at 120 yards and 2550 fps and it didn’t exit! Made me a little nervous. My buddies daughter shot a bull at 380 yards with them later that year quartering toward them and it didn’t make it through the shoulder. They caught up with him a half day later, but I would shoot arrowheads instead personally unless it’s deer or antelope at long range. I won’t be using them for elk anymore.

Gotcha - sorry I assumed that brake would work with a sabot since they work with the skirt on the eldxs but didn’t notice they won’t work with with sabots.

Generally sabots will work in a radial brake but are not recommended in most side port brakes (unless they’re way over-bored). The petals start to open immediately and can catch in the ports and cause a brake strike.

Not an expert on brakes, but are all radial brakes pretty close to the same? Not that there are a lot of choices for muzzleloaders. Was thinking of trying this one with some sabots this year.
