Has anybody sewn on extra guy outs for a tent tipi? I’ve got a cimmaron I’m looking to add on to for more room when snow hits.

I would definitely add reinforcement. It isn't the stitches that need to hold, it is the fabric. The threads would rip through the thin fabric.Makes sense. I’ll try that tactic then. Thanks for the quick work.
Did Seek put those in?

Wrong thread? What's the preference split for the "hinge" for the lid? Front opening (lift towards your chin) vs. the rear opening (lift away from you)?
What type of padding do you want? A soft foam or a stiff foam?
very inventive solutionI bought a yard of the silnylon and a tube of Gear Aid Seam Grip https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009RP8HO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
and some of this to make the loops https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B094N7ZSK2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Cut big circles and a slit in the middle. Glued them to my Cimmaron and they have held up quite well in moderate wind. I figure if they let loose, I'm back to the factory style at worst and no additional holes from sewing in a patch.
