Tripod use inside Tipi tent

I have a couple SO tipis and a stove for them. As many of you know, hunting in places like Alaska often means extra tent time and wet clothes etc. Like many of you, I am always trying to find more ways to shed weight and often using equipment in more amend more versatile ways helps. I tried something recently, I think many of you will find handy.

I’ve been trying to develop a lightweight rack from which to hang items inside the tipi tent without using the loops in the tent itself. I find that using those loops causes too much tugging on the tent walls itself. I’d rather just use the pole. In trying to developed an arrangement, I discovered a secondary use for my tripod. I have the Outdoorsman’s original medium tripod and the carbon fiber pole for the SO Redcliff Lite. It turns out that removing the center pole from the tripod , the SO carbon pile fits into the tripod base perfectly (bottom section). So, by turning the tripod upside down, putting it on the tipi pole, you can adjust the legs by length and or angle to create a pretty awesome tree for hanging clothes etc from the tipi center pole it self.

So, if you have these items, give it a try.

Here is a pic with the tripod fairly high on the pole.

Not great pictures but a similar idea I put together back in 2015 and has been used regularly in my tipi since.
