I'm not blown away by the caliber, but the concept might be interesting - if those steel cases could be manufactured for existing guns/calibers, and then allow 80k psi. A reach, but they mention that backthrust with steel is less than brass cases at normal pressures. I don't know if backthrust is the limiting factor for rifle pressures, maybe yall can fill me in.
That COULD mean Creedmoor performance in a Grendel, with ~20% less recoil (since powder weight is part of the recoil calculation, comparing a Grendel with 30gr/80k vs Creed at 45gr/60k in GRT and online recoil calcs)?
I can't imagine it would be that easy. Right?
