I put 100 pounds in my Timberline to see what if felt like, then took a little stroll over to my mother-in-law's place to pick up the kids. I thought this would be a good check to see if the pack is set up properly. Felt fine, compared to the 50+ pound load, but wanted to make sure I was getting everything from the load lifters that I should.

What length stays do you have? My take is that you are wearing the pack a tad low. The load lifters should be another 1" to even 2" higher and the hip belt seems down a tad too. I realize the heavy load leads to a lower riding pack but that's easily fixed via the torso adjustment. Where are the points of your hips in relation to the hip belt pads? Low or center?
