Tikkas with factory threaded barrels?

Somewhere earlier in this thread, someone mentioned that a Tikka rep confirmed 6CM for either Q2 or Q3 of 2025 but didn’t specify which models.

Yes, from the lips of Tikka rep at SHOT last Friday:

ALL will be threaded.

6 Creedmoor in the pipeline for Q 2 or 3 of 2025.

I bought a .30-06 Roughtech stainless with 22.4 barrel a few months back. Threaded at 5/8-24 . Not as light as the Tikka Lite''s but not unmanageable by any means .

Does anyone think there will be a good market for threaded take-off barrels? I’m considering buying one and doing a barrel swap and I’d like some input on whether or not I’ll be able to sell the barrel easily.

It will depend somewhat on caliber, but yeah, it should sell more easily than non threaded.

I definitely think there will be a market, but its going to depend on caliber for sure. I have a feeling the 6.5 Creed, 6.5 PRC, and 7 PRC takeoffs are going to be popular.

My LGS is clearancing their t3x since they were told by their contacts that the threaded barrel is coming this year. Sadly with tax its still more than online.

Yeah idc about the thread but i want a cheapest stainless steel used or otherwise I can get. and 750 + tax and all is just to much for a gun ill user a few times a year max.

I just bought the first T3x SS out of the salesman’s hand at scheels. Fresh off the truck this morning. He didn’t even make it to the Tikka rack. 6.5 PRC with 22” SS barrel, threaded. Probably 6.5 lbs with no accessories. Barrel has a taper to the threads. You can find it on their website.
