Looks like we're only ~7 years from an 18" 6arcSo there's a 20" 6.5cm? Getting close
Agree. I wonder if it may have something to do with the hammer forging and contouring process - maybe easier to have that long gradual taper than just doing a very short but steeper shoulder at the muzzle end from a manufacturing standpoint?I actually think the way they did the flare looks dumb and adds unnecessary weight
I hardly think the aesthetics of the entire package will be too negatively affected by the barrel contour if I’m putting a rokstok and AB warthog on it lolAgree. Browning does a similar taper on their suppressor ready models. @wind gypsy and @Samson7x

Maybe it's the fluting but that looks a lot more subtle
Wow 20" compact 6.5cm? If they offer in a lefty I'm buyingUpdate
Eurooptic has them on order, 22” threaded. Just got an email from them this week answering that questionWaiting for the 6.5x55….
Nice pickup! Was it marked model # JRTXB38222MT? Been tempted to order one but without the tikka site being updated I haven't been sure what model # is a 22" 6.5cm. Thanks.I didn’t see a 20” 6.5 but picked up a SS 22” 6.5CM at Scheels over the weekend.
Here’s one I saw today at Scheels. T3x lite blued 8 twist 223 with a 16” threaded barrel. Pretty cool, wish it was stainless.

Unless it’s just an optical illusion, the barrels look fat.
I didn’t look super closely, but with a 16” barrel I’d imagine the taper starts at or just after the tip of the forend.Unless it’s just an optical illusion, the barrels look fat.
