Tikkas with factory threaded barrels?

I guess when they come out with the 22.4"BBL 6CM I can cut to 19" or so, so the flare is off and rethreaded so it'll look less dumb and be the right length!

I actually think the way they did the flare looks dumb and adds unnecessary weight
Agree. I wonder if it may have something to do with the hammer forging and contouring process - maybe easier to have that long gradual taper than just doing a very short but steeper shoulder at the muzzle end from a manufacturing standpoint?

I hardly think the aesthetics of the entire package will be too negatively affected by the barrel contour if I’m putting a rokstok and AB warthog on it lol

Yeah, I don't doubt it. Doing that would add another machining step and subsequent increase in price. I'm sure they were trying to keep it below a certain price point.

I didn’t see a 20” 6.5 but picked up a SS 22” 6.5CM at Scheels over the weekend.
Nice pickup! Was it marked model # JRTXB38222MT? Been tempted to order one but without the tikka site being updated I haven't been sure what model # is a 22" 6.5cm. Thanks.
