Tikka

I think op should internet research better.

This isn't the place to come and complain on Tikka, even tho a sight owner might make stickers that say Tikkas Suck.
I like Tikka. I Have three other Tikka’s that shoot great. That’s why I ignored the results of the “research” I did do. And got one in 7prc.

Come and complain away. This place doesn’t need to be a safe space but for hells sake, provide some constructive, substantial information.

Not only did the first two post waste the time of anyone that read them. It’s wasting a mods time having to move the thing to the correct place.

I think you are missing my sarcasm.

I wasn't necessarily looking for suggestions, more so putting it out there. But,I’m open to hearing them. It’s a T3x Roughtech 24” barrel. Shooting with factory muzzle brake. Tried the Hornady ELDX and ELDM factory load so far. 3 shot groups are around 1-1/2” to 2”. Expecting it to shoot as good as my other 3 Tikkas. 6.5 CM,6.5PRC,270WSM. All 3 will shoot almost anything you put through them well.
Well, at least you're finally saying something.

The populous here demands all Tikka are perfect! And anything else beneath that, must be proven without a doubt!

You're going to be told that you suck at shooting, you're scope is losing zero every shot, it's you're lacking of taking coriolis and spin drift into affect at 100y, lighting angle changes, many things before someone comes along and says "maybe your Tikka is shit? Hmm?"

This is a great forum to help diagnose potential tikka issues. Lots of folks problems have been resolved in threads like these. And lots of these threads have also turned into a shit show like most of the comments in this one so far.

OP. If you are truly trying to resolve an issue please post a bit more details.

Rifle round count
Ammo used so far
Scope and rings used
How many shots in your “groups”
Etc.

To insinuate that one particular cartridge from a manufacturer that is known for incredible tolerances, outstanding barrels and clambering, seems pretty unlikely.

They have been knocking it out if the park for decades across the board, but they decide to chamber a new cartridge and ream all the chambers wrong? Or is it a light rifle with a lot of recoil and its difficult to shoot well?

I had a tikka that didnt shoot to my satisfaction. Mine was a 7mm08. Tried multiple scopes, rings, a pile of different ammo, bedding, etc. It happens. The odds with a tikka are very good though, so when you complain with zero background info, the odds that its a shooter problem vs a gun problem are extremely high. Without more info people will justifiably question it. “Putting it out there” is begging for people to look for the context that wasnt provided, because the overwhelming majority of gun problems are actually shooter or setup problems. But no company has a perfect record. If it isnt working out, move on. (Shrugs)

Factory 7PRC ammo is a giant crapshoot. Hornady ammo varies over 200 fps lot to lot and from sub-MOA to near 3 MOA groups. My rifle loves Federal ELDX but even blew a primer when I let the round sit in the hot chamber too long.

It's not your rifle, it's the ammo.

Not everything can shoot as well as an Amish machine gun ;)
