I recently picked up a tikka t3x superlite in 270 win. I wanted to swap out the pad to a limbsaver airtech. I called them, went over the dimensions and what the gun was with the lady and she told what model I needed. I figured I would do this to save any headache of me screwing it up and ordering the wrong one. Well that didn’t work. She told me the wrong model. After a couple weeks it showed up and the screw holes don’t line up. I called and talked to them again. We went over the numbers again and she tells me if that one (10830), doesn’t fit my only other option is a slip on, which I don’t really want. Then I get to pay return shipping which was a bit irritating seeings how it wasn’t really my fault I don’t feel . I assumed the people at limbsaver knew their product. Oh well I guess not a huge deal. So I did some more searching on here and found an older thread that asked a similar question to mine People responded with two different models. So my question is, those that have the same model rifle which airtech pad are you using, the 10826 or the 10803? Of course both are out of stock right now, so if anybody has one they want to get rid of , let me know. Thanks

First you typed 10830 then you typed 10803, not sure if that’s part of the confusion.

I run the 10803 without any issues on my Tikka, hope this helps.

Correct. 10830 is the one they told me I needed and what I ordered and received. And then I searched in here and found people that said they use 10803 and 10826. Maybe I didn’t explain that clearly the first time

I’m still curious as to y the two different pads are so similar. Is one technically for one model tikka and the other for a different model ?

Just thought I’d update this. Limbsaver’s website says how they pride themselves on customer service and want feedback from their customers. So I emailed them explaining the circumstances. I wasn’t rude just conveyed the details. They got back to me within a couple hrs, and said even though they don’t typically do it , they would send me a return label. She asked for more details on the stock to be sure they could get the correct one to me. So I will agree with their website, they have great customer service.

I'm glad they took care of you and got it sorted out.

I've put a 10826 on a Tikka and it fits great. It sounds like the dimensions between it and the 10803 are similar enough that they both work.

I think you're going to like what the Limbsaver does for your .270.

Hello, I had a similar problem as you did. I have a Tikka T3x Compact in .308 which I bought in 2023 … terrible recoil pad.
Contacted Limbsaver looking for a placement, long story short
they don’t offer a pad that fits the Tikka compact. Did some looking on their sights templates and saw that the pad they offer
for the Ruger Compact looked pretty close so I ordered it. It came a couple of days later, tried on my compact and the fit was good.
The problem was that the holes in the pad don’t line up to the holes
in the stock. I knew it was too good to be true. My only option was
a slip on pad, works fine but looks like hell. I only use the pad during off season shooting. I take it off for deer season, the heavier clothing & coat add enough cushion. Hoping someone here can an offer suggestions. I don’t have the tools or expertise beyond unscrewing the original pad and screwing on the replacement pad.
Thanks.

Read all posts on this thread. You can make that Ruger limbsaver pad work on the Tikka T3x youth compact stock. Either by slotting the existing holes, as one user did, or filling and then drilling two new holes, as I did. And you don't really need many tools, other than a drill and drill bit.

I have Limb savors on 3 of my 12 gauges, and those shotguns still kick hard with heavy loads. I installed a Backfire Backstop pad on my 300 Win mag, resulting in a comfortable wallop
