Tikka T3x safety question...

I recently acquired a nice, used Tikka T3x. I've had several bolt actions in the past (Ruger, Remington, Howa, Weatherby, Bergara, etc...) and don't consider myself an expert, but I've got a few decades of experience with them. After function testing this rifle tonight I noticed that the safety, if pushed beyond "safe" just a little, will actually engage the trigger... Is this a normal Tikka thing or should I be sending this rifle in for repair? Thanks

Double check that your trigger housing is tight. I sent mine off to get cerakoted, and the trigger housing was loose. I was able to fire a round just by using my safety.

Ya make sure when you disassemble your fire control that you reassemble it correctly.

When buying a used firearm double and triple check everything is tight and no crazy mods were done to it.

That is not a normal issue with tikkas.

I find it interesting that comments are turned off on that video.

Check trigger spring tension and / or for any damage. The tikka trigger is very easy to mess with. If the spring is in question, you can pick one up for about $10.
