Just received my new tikka T3x lite stainless.
Didn't get any scope rings in the box. Anyone know if they quit putting them in there.
Wasn't gonna use them just don't like being shorted what i paid for.

Can't really remember anyone defending or praising them - they worked OK but you had to be very careful when torqueing them or they'd distort and break or come apart

i had emailed beretta customer support to ask about the rings.
Thought there reply was interesting

Hello Anthony:

Thank you for contacting Beretta Firearms Technical Support.

The Tikka T3x series do not come with any starter ringsets. The previous T3 model did come with aluminum ringmounts, however, these should not be considered for any serious use as they will not hold up as well as a good set of steel rings.

To learn more about our available ring setups, please contact our order desk at 1-800-929-2901.

Wow, a no-BS answer from customer service. Who'd have guessed that? Rings are subject to shooter preference and should be driven by the optic that's going on the rifle. Since Tikka doesn't know what kind of optic is going on your rifle, why should they waste your money putting rings in the box?

This is the same reason that serious bicycles don't come with pedals. They're too subject to owner preference.
