Tikka T3X Lite Stainless 6.5 PRC

I thought I’d do a little show and tell of my new Tikka.

I was considering a Roughtech, but it was hard to pass up a $679 stainless T3x Lite stainless from Euro Optic. I had Bug Holes cut it back to 22” and thread it 1/2x28”. Cost was $100.

$779 for a threaded, stainless Tikka is a good deal.

Anyways, immediately installed vertical grip, trigger spring, Limbsaver recoil pad and Beartooth cheek riser. Done.

It’s a shooter, which is never a surprise. H4831 SC handloads with 143 ELDX.

100 yards

I had looked for this exact rifle a few years ago but they had not released it at 6.5 prc at that time. I ended up with a t3x lite SS in 270 which I like very much. I think you got a hell of deal on what is my favorite rifle, the Tikka T3x (Lite) SS. Great rifle and like you said...not surprising that it shoots. I think you got a good deal and should be thrilled to have it in your collection.

The 6.5 PRC does not come with a flush fit mag. Rather, it’s a 4 round mag. I’ve heard you can use a factory L mag that is flush fit but you’re limited to 2 rounds.

That magazine sticking down is the only thing i dont like about your rifle. I bought a 5 rd mag as a back up to the factory issued 3 rd for my 270. I never expected how much i dont like the 5 rd magazine protruding. It was something i did not give much though about until i started carrying it a bit. But thats just my preference. Does not make me not like my rifle or impact its performance. I think the suppressor on your gun means it balances a little different than my gun does and the mag would not be as much of an issue.

Hows your suppressor do on recoil reduction? I thought about getting my barrel threaded and buying 1.

It helps a lot. I’m spotting impacts at 500 yards plus with scope on 8x and good form.
