Just curious...what objective scope were you running on the Hawkins hybrid lows? Looks like you had plenty of clearance. Wondering if 50mm will work.

Also, what kind of cheek pad is that?

I have successfully used a 42mm and a 44mm objective with those rings. I do not think a 50mm would clear based on my experience. If it did you would have very little room to play with for eye relief.

The cheek riser is a custom one that I make from a hard foam material. It is by far the most comfortable one I have used without being squishy. I played with a lot of materials and designs before coming to this one. It’s a pain in the but to make as I start with a block of foam and have to sand it all down and shape it. I shape it to fit the stock seamlessly and obviously be the proper height. Then I sand it with very high grit sand paper to get a nice finish on it. The best part is it weighs less than a half ounce.

How do you attach it? Does it absorb water?

A special double sided tape that won’t mar finishes. No it does not absorb water.
