Tikka T3x Lite in 223 to 6.5 Grendel conversion... (I am sorry if already discussed)

To the OP. Build it. You only live once. It’s your money spend it on what makes you happy.
Look at the number of wildcats people here shoot. 6UM, 6 PRC, all the AI’s. All this to eeek out what they perceive to make them either more accurate, better shooters or just because it is there. Enjoy the process and post pics when it shoots 10 rounds in an inch.

So I think I'm gonna set a T3x 22-250 with 1:8 twist into a compact Tikka stock...
I feel like that'll give me a Tikka that's low recoil and a heavier bullet in a 1:8 twist. Deer worthy shooter that should be butter.

Went to Cabela's today, cycled few a Ruger Americans and I kinda liked it as well.
We'll see. Thanks Guys

This is all you need here.

If you want to do it, go for it. As we chatted before, I'm in the process right now. $100 round trip for the bolt face to be opened. Other members who have done this mention factory 223 or 22-250 mags working well (I'll have to find out for myself if that works).

I have a Howa mini in 6 ARC. Shoots fine, but definitely not a smooth action by any means. I had the Tikka 6 ARC itch and figured I'd scratch it.

The 1:8 22-250 will be awesome though.
