I think one of these in .243, 7mm 08 or 6.5 CM would be great for hunting out of blinds or tree stands.

Are these more tailored for youth hunters or are they just short on barrel length? I was curious about the length of pull. Are they lightweight?

They are the same as a regular T3x except the stock has a spacer to make it either a 12.5" lop or a 13.5" lop.

Some are offered in 20" but the 6.5 is offered in 20" and 24".

I grabbed one in .223 for my daughters and it's just like all my other tikkas in every way with the spacer in the stock. It's actually one of my favorite rifles to shoot, too. I threaded the 20" barrel and it's a sweet heart with a suppressor.

I bought one a few months ago for my kids to use on some upcoming hunts. I have/had several full size Tikkas and I REALLY like this little one. Ours is a 308 with 20" barrel and it's such a light and nimble little gun. It would be great for your intended use.

I have one in 204 Ruger (they don't make this particular one anymore) and it came with 20in barrel. As already mentioned the stock on the compact versions come with two different length end pieces to change length of pull. You just unscrew one and screw on the other. Otherwise, it's a regular T3x.
