Tikka T3X Actions

Build a .223 assuming the intent is to use an aftermarket barrel. At EO right now, buy a 350 Legend synthetic for $539 or 350 Legend Hunter for $579. The Hunter stock will get back $150 to $200. Sold one for $200, some are asking $300+. Better than the Beretta rebate. The barrel isn’t gonna fetch much but even $40 or so could put the buyer pretty close to cutting the cost of the complete action in half.

Just my math. To each his own.
I have five 350 barrels I will sell for $20 each as a group, double your money, lol.😂

Buying a “better” version instead of the cheapest T3x can be worthwhile. I don’t buy the regular synthetic stocks, I buy the wood or compact ones as they sell for more money and they actually sell. UM sells the black stocks for $50 so all the ones posted for $100 or more are a tough sell. Also, caliber and twist rate matters. If you’re just looking for an action, find the deals on rifles that have desirable parts.

Agree with this and this is what I did for my donor. Bought a t3x at fleet farm which was on sale because of a scratch on the barrel. I made sure it was a 6.5 creedmoor since I knew the barrel would sell. Ultimately sold the barrel, stock with bottom metal and magazine and recouped about $200.

So why is everyone freaking out about tikka making a 6cm.
Why not just do this and build your own and get what you want.
Seems a more reasonable way to go.At least something I’m thinking about.
Or wait for a raven action.

Because a factory tikka is like $650-850. If you want a 6cm, it's minimum ~$600 more than that.

600 in a world of 40.00 underwater,1000.00 watches and 3500 binos don’t seem unreasonable.
It’s not like the barrels last that long,at least if you shoot it much.
And I’m sure a lot will cut them shorter anyway so there’s half of your 600.

More cost efficient.
Tikka 6CM, put scope on and go shoot-700ish
Tikka rebarrel is 700+plus barrel to go shoot
Raven is 1200+ bottom metal+ barrel+trigger+ stock.
And at the end of the day the functional difference between a tikka and raven is going to be near zero. New and cool factor the raven wins, but the difference is quite a bit of ammo and tag money.
