Tikka T1x 17HMR weak magazine spring

Anyone else have problems with these things feeding the last few rounds?

Yeah, when I put an extension on. Take the spring out and stretch it. Do it over a rod so you don’t jack it up. Easy fix.

Eventually they jam. I havnt found a solution. Usually they work fine for 1500 rounds.

I found the solution- vudoo. As a bonus it ejects 100%

I hate those t1x magazines, that’s the #1 reason I moved on from mine.

Unfortunately the vudoo comment wasn’t about a magazine swap, it’s a different rifle.

I could get 100% feeding by stretching the mag spring and my T1X is a very good shooter. The only complaint I have is unreliable ejection. The newer T1Xs have a fixed blade ejector and I just couldn’t figure out how to improve it for reliability. So for me, the reliability isn’t there for NRL/PRS22 as missing points is unavoidable with feeding issues. It is good most of the time but not 100%.

For varmint hunting, plinking, etc, no big deal.

Anyone try one of these? I emailed them last week asking if they ship here but never heard back. I’ll give it another try.

I sent them another email and they got right back to me. They can’t ship to individuals in the US. They would need a retailer here to stock their mags for US sales.
