If anyone has a Tikka 6.5 creedmoor laying around that they could get an actual weight off of I would appreciate it. The factory numbers are a bit generous. I have one that I've pretty heavily modified but forgot to weigh it before I started and I was just curious what my actual weight savings was.

What’s that accomplishing for you? Curious because I just cannot stomach brakes due to the noise, and can’t use a suppressor in my commie state, but love the idea of a little less recoil.

I'm firmly of the belief that most medium bore cartridges don't benefit from anything past the second port on a break. Any gas that is going to expel from the side has already done that and the front ports provide incredibly minimal additional recoil reduction. I also wanted this rifle to be very compact and light as I could make it.

I had one at one point. I’ll look and see if I ever weighed it and wrote it down. I do know this:
T3X Superlite 243 Win weighs 6lb 1.6oz

Once it was bored to .338 it weighs 5lb 14oz.

That’s with a vertical grip and includes the mag.
