Interested in a .308 or 6.5cm. Was thinking of a tikka toughtech or getting a ruger american gen 2 and putting a MDT KRS Chassis on it. The price point is about the same on both. Any ideas and helpful information is much appreciated. Thanks all.

tikka is a much better rifle. Tikka has a better trigger and smoother action
both will shoot very well in 6.5cm

Tikka all the way! I own both, my ruger even in a nicer stock is still a ruger action and barrel

Buy a regular stainless T3X, chop + thread ($150) and put it in an aftermarket stock of your choice.

My brother bought a ruger American gowild in a 6.5cm. I tried to talk him out of it before he purchased. It’s literally been nothing but a headache since he bought it a year and half ago.
We just pulled the scope off the ruger and put it on a Roughtech. The tikka is such a better gun all around and has a lot better aftermarket accessories available than the ruger.
