Tikka Pre fit

Looking to place an order for a Carbon Six Tikka prefit in 6.5 PRC. Thoughts on a 8:1 vs. a 7.5: twist rate? I'd like to shoot the Berger 156's when I get my hands on them but have a bunch of 140' and 143's for now. Barrel length with be 22". Thanks.

I would get the 7.5 twist in a steel barrel in same weight as the carbon barrel

I did a 20" 7.5 Carbon Six Tikka prefit just to shoot the Berger 156's. It is very accurate when I do my part
I shoot the 140 Berger VLDs and the 156 EOL.

Either way you should be alright! If you plan on shooting a lot of the 153s I would go with 7.5. You will be over twisting the 140s a little but they should still hold together! I am shooting 147s right now in a 7.5 and they have been doing fine.

I shoot 130 bergers and 140 eldm out of a 7.5 twist. They are fine.

If you plan to shoot mostly 150+ I would definitely get the 7.5.
