How many ft/lbs do you folks torque your tikka prefits to?

What does the manufacture recommend? That’s who I would check with and go by.

The manufacture puts them on tight as hell lol! Run 90 inch lbs and you should be good to go!

65. Doesn’t take much. I’ve got several barrels I swap around on one of my tikkas, and for the steel barrels I don’t remove optic or stock, just put it in the vice out past the objective lens and spin it off.

PVA makes prefits and Tikka action wrenches and they recommend 75 ft/lbs for standard and 100 ft/lbs for magnum. That’s the specs I went with.

I went with 90 on my proof 300wm pre-fit after quite an extensive forum search and series of emails and phone calls.

The email i received from Carbon six said 70lbs for my Tikka carbon prefit

I had a LGS put one on for me and he said 80 lbs. He said when the bullet goes through the rifling it can torque the barrel even more over time. I'm not sure if that is true or not.
