Tikka gen 2 6.5 prc 22.4 inch barrel

Sportsman's Warehouse has a 6.5 PRC 22.4 barrel threaded 5/8 x24 6.3 LBS 899.99 . First Tikka i have seen factory cut to this length in the t3x. I have a Dead Air Nomad ti xc for the suppressor , thinking a good balance ? Any thoughts ? Anyone one know when Tikka came out with the Gen 2 ? Also heard a gen 3 is out ??

22” plus a can is pretty long. Maybe a non-issue depending on where/how you hunt.

Afaik tikka generations are:
T3
T3x
New t3x with the flare/threaded (ca. 2025ish)

I would prefer a shorter can, like the OG 6.5 or Airlock for a 22” barrel. I am not a fan of going over 26” overall barrel+suppressor length. Although I do have one rifle that has an overall length of 28”. I plan to use it more often out in my pastures than in the woods.

I half heartedly ended up with one of the new lite barrels on ebay the other day. I bid on 7mm RM mag that says 22.25" and threaded. If it shoots as well as my superlite barrel, I was considering sending it to Kampfeld and having it spiral fluted. My thought was 22 may be good length for with and without a can - which I have not purchased yet. I was looking at the airlock 7mm.

The Airlock 7 is 4.75" long, iirc.
