Tikka foundation stocks and Hawkins bottom metal.

The hybrid line is their lighter (not light) options - ezekiel and gideon. The hybrid line is a carbon and kevlar blend, with a micarta bedding block. The ezekiel has an adjustable comb and a recessed forend for a full-length arca. The gideon does not have an adjustable comb, or a recessed foreend.

Both stocks weighed about 40oz with everything except the barreled action, so not lightweight in the traditional sense.

Their non-hybrid line of stocks are fully micarta and very heavy.

I have the ezekiel for a rem700, and the gideon for a tikka. I really enjoy them both. The micarta deadens recoil as-advertised. both have slightly above bore combs. Trigger reach is longer than the rokstock, but comfortable for me with above-average sized hands.

Downside - price.

Can you comment on the tikka inlet on the Gideon? Barrel channel? Specifically if it will fit a 1.2” shank on the factory cut?

I don’t suppose you have tried a UM short bolt handle on it too?

I did, it hit the stock, and didn’t feel like filling material away to make it work on this stock. Went with the long handle from UM and it works.

Love my genesis on my.prs rig. They're a really good company and hooked me up for free with parts I needed. I want to look at the specs for the new stock but it'll be hard not to get one.

You mentioned using the hunter magazine. Does it also take aics mag like the other versions? That happens to be my favorite bottom metal as well and I have several of their hunter maga already.

Hawkins says that in "short action" Tikka's there are compatible AICS pattern magazines that will fit. In "long action" Tikka's you are limited to the Hawkins Hunter magazines.

They are also the same base inlet.

They will fit in a normal tikka inlet? Is that what you mean? Their site says multiple places that it only works with a specific inlet that Foundation uses.

They won’t fit any other stock
I think He means the long and short action are the same inlet with the mag well being lengthened for the long action

No it’s their own inlet. I’m just saying the long action and short action is the same inlet. So either can be used in the same stock cut for the Hawkins

Trigger reach is shorter than the Gideon or Ezekiel, they don’t have the spec exactly yet, but from talking to them and videos sent it looks significantly shorter than the previous two hunting stocks.

LOP is 13 with 1/2” buttpad 13 1/2 with 1” pad.

They said depending on configuration should be 30oz or less bare.

Ordered one a couple days after they unveiled it at the show, they said 2-3 months out for production.

I’ll also say, the people that work there that I’ve talked to have been amazing.

Incredibly helpful, pretty clear they use the gear they sell and design, exceptionally responsive and easy to work with as well.
I just order one as well. I am sure enjoying my Ezekiel tikka inletted stocks. The quality is great just like all foundation products. I would expect nothing less with the remnant.
