I picked one of these up 20" .308. Everything online says they are threaded 5/8x24 but I received a thread adapter with the gun for M15x1 to 5/8x24...I have zero desire to use a thread adapter as it adds an inch to the gun (small I know but I wanted direct thread).

Anyone else have an Ember that can tell me if this is consistent with your experience?

Waiting on can so can't test to see what the threads actually are.

Thanks in advance!

Not the Ember but I have a roughtech in .308 and it has the 5/8x24 thread. I doubt the ember is any different

That's what I was expecting - I have zero idea but makes me nervous that I'm going to have to run the adapter that came with the gun.

If it is 20" I would guess it is a superlite which are M15.

Pencil barrels how they are keeping the weight down.

That’s a great rifle OP. Not sure I’d be too upset using an adapter. I have to run an adapter on my Howa Mini 6 ARC 22” barrel.

You should be able to cut/thread the barrel as you choose for $150 or less. I chopped my ember to 18” anyway. 1/2x28
