Tikka d18 16-18" weight

I was wondering if anyone has a Tikka d18 barrel that they cut to 16-18". I'd like to know the weight or weight in factory stock.

My 243 currently has the factory d18 22" on it and the balance is terrible with suppressor. I'd like to know how much weight I'd save and if the balance would be that much better if I cut it. It's currently somewhere around 500 rounds, I think. If it makes a big difference cutting I think it would be worth it for the remaining 1000-1500 rounds

I can’t answer to your specific question but I think it would balance better and would try it out

I do not know what a D18 barrel is but.............. I had my lite 22" barrel cut to 16" and it removed 7oz I think.

I cut mine down to 16.5 inches and it balances great with a Scythe Ti. Sorry, I don’t have the weight.

D18 is a medium heavy profile. Lite/Superlite are D16.
