D18 is definitely beefy, I like it on the 300wm roughtech I have. Just wish they'd do some 20-22" roughtechs or even SL/t3x.

Its most of the way to being a ctr contour. I actually looked the other day, pretty sure the d18 was .726” (in question based on post below) and my ctr is .785”… wonder what the weight diff is there? Those come threaded 5/8-24 in 20”.
Both of my light contour barrels (24” 6.5cm and 22” 270win) are .630” at the muzzle.

Edit: post below in this thread says d18 .7530”–thats an accurate caliper! Post linked here references a little smaller, but probably not enough to make a difference?

Yep, I just wish they had some 22" mag and 20" standard versions.

I have a 6.5 CM Roughtech barrel (and Ember stock) that I am going to sell shortly. It has 25 rounds through it, but otherewise brand new. PM for details.

Is that a "Black Steel" barrel? Mine doesn't look like my blued rifles and is it is too smooth to be any kind of parkerizing.

What do you think it is?

That was on a tan and black roughtech
It’s harder than bluing, doesn’t wear much or scuff from the barrel vice.
It’s a stainless steel barrel with some sort of coating
Shoots great too
