Imagine if you got a man’s caliber! J/k j/k!!

They are great rifles and I’ve never heard of one that doesn’t shoot! I’m not far behind you in making the switch.
I wanted a short threaded barrel. I already have a 300 win mag and 300 prc. After reading the .223 and 6.5 threads i dont think i need the heavy hitters.

If you want to lighten it, it can be done very easily depending on what you want to do with it. I had other intentions for my 308 but didnt work out. So I put it on a diet and will supress it. Different stock, pulled off rail, and installed the new unknown munitions tikka rings. Made a difference. Put a lite trijicon credo. 20231102_135046.jpg20231102_135129.jpg20231102_135101.jpg

Looks good. Is the weight in the stock? I might go with the Rokstock when it comes out.

What scope objective and ring height are those? That’s a slick setup.

I did a complete break down of my CTR 308 vs T3 lite 308. In my case, my lite has a schmidt bender polar on it. It's a heavier optic but it's my low light setup. The ctr is about .74 lbs heavier.

The stock is a tikka takeoff stock. I think a ridgeline. The ctr stock, bottom metal and mag does weight more than the lite. With a simple bolt stop mod and different mags, you can get longer COAL if reloading.

The scope is a trijicon credo 4-16x50 and the rings are med if I remember. I know they were 1.20. You cant slide a nickel between barrel and this particular scope.

If you think it shoots nice in the stock configuration, wait til you put it in a bravo that uses the CTR mags…

I have two of the ctr in 260. Absolutely love them. For a shorter barrel I’m able to get 2800 fairly easy with a 130 class bullet. McMillan and manners have inlets for the ctr bottom metal.

Looks like they do... https://choose.tikka.fi/usa/code/TFTT2624B134961B

Used to have a 7mm-08 Remington. But I'm eyeing up the 6.5 CM this time around.
Love mine in 6.5CM as well. Sure wish they made one in 7-08.
I had the same thought as well. However I took a 7mm08 and put it in a ctr stock simply for the 10 round mag capacity. Had to change the bolt stop for a longer configuration so it’ll feed correctly. Definitely worth the subtle change in my opinion

I’ve got one in 223. I’m not climbing mountains with it so I dropped it in an XLR chassis. It’s an impressive shooter for a production rifle. I’ve shot it in a few local matches in the TAC (223/308) class.
