Testing the waters on this action. I bought it as a CTR, and eventually put it in a vision chassis with a different barrel. I've been holding on to it for a potential project, but I'm moving overseas for a little while and would like to sell it.
It's had approximately 2000 rounds fired through it, always as a 65 creedmoor, never loaded super hot. I typically loaded 41.5 h4350 with 140 eldms.
There are two things a potential buyer should know about it. The first is that with the vision chassis you always have to run a long action bolt stop, a few companies sell replacement bolt stops for about $40 or $50 And I replaced mine with the long action, but included that with the chassis for the person I sold it to. I will look hard to find the factory short action one, but there is a chance a potential buyer would have to buy one or wait for me to get one in and install it. The second thing is that I had a bad lot of the Winchester large rifle primers, and shooting the 41.5 h4350 load I had one pierce and there is some dimpling on the face from that event. I have checked out and there's nothing unsafe about shooting it, I shot 800+ rounds after the piercing , and I had potentially considered having the face machined and having it opened up to a Magnum bolt face but again just never had the time. I would prefer a face-to-face meeting in Southwest Idaho could also work out potentially shipping. I also have the CTR factory 6.5 Creed barrel that had about 500 rounds shot through it.
Looking for $575 for the action, add $20 for the barrel. If shipping wed have to chat on shipping costs.
