Tikka break-in

Which model Tikka are you shooting in the Swede?
I adore my T3x in '06, but x55 is my all time favorite caliber. I have an old Axis I rebarrelled, but I'd kill to get my hands on another Tikka in that chamber.

it was the stainless hunter model. I picked up a McMillan Hunters Edge stock and sold the wood stock

Sako states a barrel break in procedure isn’t necessary because the barrels are cold hammer forged. Tikkas are also cold hammer forged and made at the same factory so I’m sure the same standard applies.

This is my understanding as well. There are no "high spots, burs or shoulders" like would be on a cut barrel, so no need for a break-in.
