Picked up a b&c for one of my T3x rifles. Upon installation it seems the front of stock is not floated and has upward pressure. Has anyone else installed this stock and if so was it floated?

I've only used them on Remington rifles(Model Seven and M700) and they've always been true drop in, free floated. Great stocks.

I've had to open up the barrel channel on pretty much every stock to get it to my liking. No big deal with a piece of 60 grit sand paper. Set the barrelled action in the stock and lightly tighten the action screws just enough so that you can still get the sand paper in between the stock and the barrel. Move the sand paper back and forth and up and down until floated. Tighten the action screws. Repeat until full tightened and fully floated.

I had one and it was floated without doing any work.
