Also if the flex in the forearm is unexpectable to you with your bipod, the salmon river hunters rail really stiffens it up

if you didn’t dremal out that channel a bunch that’s typically what they look like if you are not seated well.
I know because when i did mine, that’s exactly what it looked like and I had similar groups. Then it dawned on me, I took it apparent matched it up and it was money.
If not as big as a tikka dealer as UM is I’m sure they will take care of you
As others have said — this doesn’t look seated correctly to me.I never made a snarky reply, lol. On the contrary, I appreciate the feedback. I experimented with the recoil lug considerably. I purposely seated it incorrectly a few times so that I knew what it would look like in the event that it was off. Pics attached. Thanks![]()

Sorry to burst your bubble. But it’s torqued to spec and seated properly.

I'd check the action screw length first, then make sure something isn't touching something it isn't supposed to be.Watching as I am having issues with the RS shooting this way. I jump back to the factory stock and I get good groups. Is there a specific item to look for to ensure the action is seated ?. A measurement specific I can verify. By the naked eye is BS.
This barreled action appears to be improperly seated on the recoil lug based on these photos.I never made a snarky reply, lol. On the contrary, I appreciate the feedback. Yep. Anyone using mountain tactical anything makes me very leery. Their bottom metals and recoil lugs are some of the worst unit to unit tolerances I’ve seen/used.You have several non factory parts such as lug, bottom metal and trigger. Maybe swap those back to factory and shoot it.
With the factory Tikka stock, generally no. The bottom of the port lands flush with the stock or just below it. The action can still appear to be seated when using above 40” lbs because it still sucks it down and then it’s hard to tell.So the relief port should be partially below the side of the stock when seated at full depth?

I just solved it for him - new stock, trigger and barrelAaaand the Tikka haters show up to bash the brand instead of helping problem solve. Classic.
