Tikka accuracy question

if you didn’t dremal out that channel a bunch that’s typically what they look like if you are not seated well.

I know because when i did mine, that’s exactly what it looked like and I had similar groups. Then it dawned on me, I took it apparent matched it up and it was money.

If not as big as a tikka dealer as UM is I’m sure they will take care of you

Not an expert but would agree that the barrel channel looks a lot like when I dont have the lug seated... the pic of the action looks mostly OK. Would have to pull one of mine out to compare. But that barrel pic is suspect. You seem to know what you're doing, would take your word for it being seated properly except for the barrel pic.

You have several non factory parts such as lug, bottom metal and trigger. Maybe swap those back to factory and shoot it.

I never made a snarky reply, lol. On the contrary, I appreciate the feedback. I experimented with the recoil lug considerably. I purposely seated it incorrectly a few times so that I knew what it would look like in the event that it was off. Pics attached. Thanks

As others have said — this doesn’t look seated correctly to me.

Sorry to burst your bubble. But it’s torqued to spec and seated properly.

Might need to shorten the action screws. I’ve had that happen w one stock, and suspect I just figured it out on a Rokstok. Check w the smarter people first.

Krg echos are not that big of an investment ($300), also Stockys has had stocks with discounted prices.

Some rifles only like a certain flavor and or spice to the load.

Watching as I am having issues with the RS shooting this way. I jump back to the factory stock and I get good groups. Is there a specific item to look for to ensure the action is seated ?. A measurement specific I can verify. By the naked eye is BS.

It’s a tikka. Crazy how the coolaid drinkers think these guns are comparable to custom rifles. This happens more often than not. These used to be $500 guns … they are cheap factory rifles with an inflated price. It’s why so many buy a tikka, put a new stock and trigger on it, rebarrel it and still brag about how much they love tikka…you have to go into it realizing you are paying for the action.
