This is just a heads up for any other proper-handed folks looking for a Tikka 7PRC.
I purchased a Tikka left-hand Super-lite 7PRC from Sportsman's Warehouse online via ship-to-FFL and just picked it up.

Their website, sku#1926955, lists it as a 20" fluted/threaded barrel, however the rifle actually has a 22.4" barrel with the flared muzzle and 5/8-24 threads.

Their customer-service says they won't do anything for me and that I need to call Tikka to complain or try to return it which is kind of silly considering it's their website that gives the wrong information. Honestly, I called just to alert them to the fact that they are giving out incorrect information, as I'm going to keep the rifle. I bought it half expecting this, considering I'd not heard of Tikka using a 20" barrel length on any of their 2025 rifles thus far.

In any case, it's a swell-looking rifle (my 1st Tikka) and weights in on my kitchen scale at 6lb 2.1oz.

Looks like there's plenty of room to have that barrel shortened to 20" without cutting into the flutes. I hunt strictly suppressed, so I would want to lose those extra two inches. Just my opinion.

Update 09/02:

Sportsman's reached back out to me, admitting they had their website information incorrect. They've since updated the listing to reflect 22.4" barrel and actually show the correct picture of the rifle.

What's more is they gave me a $100 refund on my purchase price, so that is good on them.

It's my first Tikka, so I dont know for sure, but I am under the impression that the vertical grip module can be added to the factory stock.

I never fired a single round in factory guise before I dropped it into a Stockys VG though.

How does it shoot?
Too soon to tell. I've only fired 18 rounds so far. I shot a handful to get on target, then moved to 100yds. Federal Fusion Tipped 175gr printed 3-shot groups of 3/4", 7/8" 1 1/8" and with Norma Bondstrike 165gr. a 3-shot group at 1 3/8."

The groups got bigger as I went on...but I was doing my level-best to shoot through the heat mirage for the last 2 groups. Even with the suppressor cover, the little titanium can couldn't keep it at bay with the 7PRC after that many shots.

The rifle behaved well with regards to recoil with the combo of the suppressor, stock and Aircell pad, considering it weights in at 8lb 1oz as it sits.

You really have to be patient and not try to shoot through the mirage. I take a second rifle with me to the range every time I go so that I have something else to do while my primary rifle cools down.

No doubt about that. I was kind of pressed for time, and really just wanted to get the break-in started on this one and gather some preliminary chronograph data.
