Hello, just bought a Tikka T3X Lite 7PRC with the 22” blued barrel. If you also have one, what factor hunting ammo does your rifle like? I haven’t shot mine yet and I will be grabbing a few different boxes before I hit the range. Just curious to see what’s working. Thanks

I've only ran one combo in mine so far but it's working well. I'm running a 22 inch Muller 8 twist barrel. Loaded with H1k, 180 Hybrids in ADG brass at 2880, .5MOA to 600.

I'm hoping to have a minute to try some H4381SC very soon. I hear it's unicorn dust for the PRC.

does anyone have reports on the hornady outfitter 160gr cx? california hunter here.
No report on the factory ammo, but I run the 160 cx in both my 7PRC and 280 Ackley. Both rifles run them around 2900 fps (the 7 PRC has a 20" barrel). Only killed an elk and mule with them so far but they shoot really well and seem to anchor animals fast. Both shots were inside 200 yards.

Here's a 10 shot group out of the 7PRC with 160's just off of a Harris bipod and a rear bag

I just started messing with it but my left hand tikka t3 shoots the Hornady factory 180ELDM very well. Only problem is both of the factory options I have tried from Hornady are crazy slow compared to advertised. Recoil honestly is pretty mild though

I also just started shooting my new left hand 22” Tikka. So far I’ve tested 4 different factory loads. Here are my results

Federal 175 ELDX- 2891 FPS, 1” groups at 100 yds

Hornady 175 ELDX- 2756 FPS, 1”

Hornady 180 ELDM- 2750 FPS, 1.25”

Hornady 160 CX- 2868 FPS, 2.5”

Really happy with the Federal, but I’m running low and can’t find any more. Would love to find some more. The 160 CX did not shoot well at all. I tried cleaning the barrel, but still had the same result. I’m in CA, so I want to find something in copper that shoots better. Going to give the Barnes 160 LRX a try. I have a SRS 4 port brake on it and recoil is less than my Tikka 6.5 CM that has no brake.

Awesome thank you!
