I ran a search on here but I live in NJ and we can't have suppressors 
I was thinking of ordering a brake from UM but not sure which one and am wide open to other suggestions. This will be a medium range western backcountry hunting rifle if it makes any difference. Mostly bear, wolf, mule deer, blacktail...maybe elk but many years from now as I only have interest in archery hunting them.
I'm going to send my 24" 6.5 PRC barrel to Suppressor Central to have it shortened to 22" (or more?), recrowned and threaded. Should I get 5/8 × 24 threads?
I was debating doing this at all but it's about 1" too long to fit in my PelicanAir double bow vault which I'll modify foam to securely hold the rifle/scope. And the Tikka didn't come with a threaded barrel. This whole process is still less expensive than buying a good dedicated rifle case for air travel. All the barrel work + shipping is $235-
