Tikka 6.5 CM 16" barrel velocity

Anyone out there running factory Hornady 140gr eld-m 6.5 CM ammo out of a 16" tikka? What kind of velocities are you getting? Seems like it might be the easy button for a 50 state legal RSS.

I got a velocity of roughly 2500 FPS out of my 20” CTR using factory 140-ELDM loads. I’d guess you’ll get about 2400 FPS with a 16” barrel and factory 140’s. I’m making a 6.5CM RSS off a Tikka lite and cutting my barrel to 18” for what it’s worth.

I’d have to double check with my dad to be exact but I believe he’s getting 2,550 with a 16” Kimber and factory 140 eldm’s.

My tikka is 16.25” and if I remember correctly the only factory ammo I’ve Crono’d is norma 143 match and that was going 2430

I shoot a 130tmk handload going 2560

I’d also have to double check but I think I was getting 2600s out of 120gr Norma FMJ plinking loads. 16” barrel. ~2620 if I remember correctly.

In my 20inch blued compact 6.5 cm I'm getting 2529 w/ factory 140eldm I would guess you're around 2400 if you do around 25-30fps per inch cut
