2.810” for the 108 eldm in my tikka. Just fits in the standard M magazine

Buy the m+ mags that are sold with the 6.5cmsThanks MT. Since Tikka doesn’t offer a 6CM, I’m thinking about getting the 243 and would like to shoot the heavier bullets.
This is my experience. They still shoot well though. My .243 8 twist would run out of throat before it runs out of mag length when loading the 108 eldm or the 105 bthp. YMMV
Here is what mine looks like with the 108 eldm. Seated deeper than I like as well but it shoots great and I’m getting the velocity I want. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.I had seen it mentioned a few times that some Tikka throats were short and 108s had to be seated too far into the case.
What’s the barrel length?H4831sc hammers in the tikka 8 twist with the 108 eldm. The one flyer was me.View attachment 877983

I happened to stop in a Gunshop on a trip nearby and score 8lbs of h4831sc for $374 out the door. I haven’t seen it that cheap anywhere lately. Time to test that 44-45gr window loading some 108eldm’s out to 2.800”. Hornady manual claims 47.4gr is the top out, hodgdon claims 44.7gr. GRT says 45.5 is about the limit.H4831sc hammers in the tikka 8 twist with the 108 eldm. The one flyer was me.View attachment 877983
