Tikka 223 Magazines

I picked up a Tikka 223 and was able to get my hands on 2 factory mags and 1 mountain tactical.

Of the two factory mags that appear identical one easily holds 4 rounds which is what I expected, the other holds 3 just find but will not take a 4th. Do they make a 3 rounder that looks just like the 4 or do I just need to do some fiddling with it?

The mountain tactical has some intermittent feed issues that are fine for the range but preclude it from hunting.

I also did order some waters mags which I think will become my primary users but would still like to use both factory ones when I want something flush fitting.

Are those those ones that require a sacrificial factory mag to provide a spring?

For what its worth after putting 40 or so rounds through that mag it loosened up enough to easily take the 4th round. Not sure why the other did right from the start and this one didnt but they both do now. Both seem to function fine, my Mtn Tactical one works but the 3rd shot fails to feed every time, if I give it a little bump it then works. I guess thats ok for the range but wont hunt with it.

I did go ahead and order some waters mags, still on the hunt for a few more factory ones though if they ever come back in stock.
