Looking for a Tikka 223 1-8" twist take off barrel and a Tikka 243 1-8" twist stainless steel take off barrel. Would have to ship from FFL to FFL.

Do certain states require barrels be shipped to an FFL? Just curious as I thought barrels could be shipped directly to residential addresses?

I know an anti gun legislator in CO has proposed such nonsense, no clue if that is the situation in law in other state.

It is my understanding that as of Jan 1, 2026 barrels and receivers (complete or precursors) need to ship to an FFL in California.

I have not heard of any legislation in other states.
