I just picked up a Tikka t3 previous owner said it's probably 20 years old but got a sweet deal on it and it's a tack driver was shooting the best 100 groups of my life. All holes touching for 5 shot groups. Seems to be a 14 ish twist barrel. I want to use this for coyotes and deer any ideas for how to build this are welcome.

If it shoots as well as you say…why would you change anything?

Build it? Put a sling on it if your going to be hiking and kill things?
Scope is super foggy, stock has a hideous paint job, already got a sling for it. Just looking for ideas I guess on how others have build their tikkas but I'm not doing anything to the barrel or action just looking at everything else. It's got a worse stock on it than the new tikka t3x has too its got to go.

Thank you.

Better scope and stock would be the only recommendation if it's already shooting well. You can maybe adjust the trigger if you need to make it lighter.

eBay usually has plenty of T3 and T3X stocks.

Add a stock and a nice scope and call it a day.

The Sierra 63gr semi point has a good reputation for killing deer from a 14” twist 22-250.

Any scope recommendations you like? I have a leupold vx 5 on my 6.5 prc tikka and I'm not a vortex fan.

A fixed SWFA 10x or 12x is my first choice on a varmint rifle. If you prefer a variable, I would look hard at the SWFA 3-15x or a Trijicon option.

I have been looking at trijicon and nightforce today fixed 10 or 12 not for me where I live thick brush and timber. But that's a good idea for fast shots no need to mess with anything.
