I’m looking for a set of chest wafers for waterfowl. I’ve been looking at several different Tidewe models strictly because the price is aggressive. Are they any good? Nothing lasts forever, but I’d prefer something that I’m going to get at least three seasons out of. All experiences welcome.

I can't speak for the waders, but the blinds have been solid the past few seasons. Who knew someone would come along and making blinds a consumable. Good luck.

“A few seasons” is a broad statement.

In college when I was mad at ducks, I duck hunted 30+ times a year breaking ice and walking through flooded corn stubble.

Now, I hunt a few times a year from the comfort of a blind.

What are your expectations?

Three seasons before I need to fix any leaks or replace them. If that’s unrealistic, set me straight.

I had their neopreme waders and they started leaking the second season. I hunt ducks 10 - 20 times a year.

I now have High n Dry and just finished my second season with and have been nothing but happy with them.

That's unrealistic for waders under $500. Point blank. Every pair of boot-foot waders I have ever owned has leaked at the boot seam within 2 years, hunting a mix of environments (walkins, blinds, sand, mud, etc) 15-30 days per year.

Have never owned a $1000 pair of waders, but if I did it had better have a no-questions warranty (Chene, Sitka) for when it starts to leak. My understanding is that those waders still leak, you can just get them repaired when they do.

I know a few guys that tried the Tidwe Slough Dog waders this fall and liked them; but one season isn't a very good sample size. The Slough Dog was co-designed by Minndak Outdoors (youtubers) and they had a pretty decent discount code for them. I have no affiliation or experience with Tidwe or Minndak. I bought Frogg Toggs Grand Refuge 3.0 breathable waders with removable liner in August. Didn't use them much with the liner; I like the features of the waders, but they are noisy compared to my cabelas neoprenes.

I have a pair of the Tidewe breathable waders that I got last year during middle of the season. The high end ones that were listed around $1000 but marked down to around $500.

They've done well for me, but I only hunted once in them last season and twice this season, so not much extensive use. Time will tell.

The chest waders I got from tidewe 2 years ago have worked out well for me. No leaks so far...lol

If you can fit ibto them. I have 18-inch+ calves and cant fit into tidwe. Basically coated nylon - quality seemed good. Just nothing for beefy fat guys.

Don't have their waders but have been happy with their tall muck type boots. Not the best but the quality levels seems pretty good for the price point

We tried their neoprene for a year or two and they were great but leaked pretty quick, we're hard on waders though. Take a look at the Bassdash brand for cheap good waders, we have several sets of breathable stockingfoot waders going on several seasons now and they're still going strong.

I have had their hip waders for probably 5 years. I use them a couple times a year just to cross high water. They don’t leak but the buttons on the belt straps broke pretty quick. I just tie them in a knot instead of using the buttons and it works fine for crossing high water. I don’t think I would buy them again hut they have been fine
